Michael Schlauder - bio
In 2009, Michael Schlauder founded Grace Christian Fellowship in Queen Creek, Arizona. The church grew, moving into a building in 2011. Discouraged by the
seeker-friendly church model, Michael saw a need for a modern reformation in the mainstream church. He feels strongly that the primary source of Christian education for children should come from their own fathers, not Sunday school teachers (an unpopular position in the modern church), making the church very homeschool-family friendly.

Michael focuses on expository teaching and seeks to return to a simple and orderly service. In this age of doctrinal misinformation, he is committed to returning to the foundational Christian doctrines and practices of the Protestant Reformers as outlined in the Westminster Confession of Faith of 1646.

Michael is a literal six-day creationist, a five point Calvinist and a proponent of Reformed Covenantal Theology Michael embraces the absolute supremacy of Scripture.

What Other People are Saying about Michael Schlauder

“I have personally taught and led along side of Mike. He would be hard to over-recommend. The church culture is in no small way due to his hard work to make the place a discipleship, homeschool-family friendly environment. It is also one of the most hospitable FIC churches for families with small children. Visitors to Grace Christian Fellowship will immediately sense his joy and hospitality. Mike is one of the most careful pastors I know in regards to doctrine and life. I have always appreciated his clarity in teaching, careful oversight and gentle encouragement in everything he does. If you are looking for a Reformed, confessional church in the San Tan, Gilbert and Queen Creek area, you need to check out Grace Christian Fellowship. Tell Mike I said to say hi!”

Michael Schlauder Cont...

Prior to starting Grace, Michael served onboard a US Navy ballistic missile submarine from 1990 to 1994 in King's Bay Georgia. After decommissioning the submarine he was selected to be an instructor at the Naval Submarine School in Groton, Connecticut where he taught until his honorable discharge in 1997. The Navy taught Michael how to explain difficult topics clearly and concisely and by using creative analogies his sermons combine solid Reformed Covenantal doctrine with relevant life application. Michael is a small business owner who has been working from home since 2001 and has both the experience and the passion to help fathers leave the rat-race and return to their families. Michael is a father of eight and lives on a hobby farm in San Tan Valley where he and his wife Rachelle homeschool their children, tend their garden and raise chickens.

Jacob, Michael’s oldest son, following his father’s footsteps, joined the Navy in 2013. He married Lauren in 2014 and is currently stationed with the 1st Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina as a Hospital Corpsman. On January 25, 2013 Jacob was seriously wounded by an explosive while stationed in Helmand Province, Afghanistan and received the Purple Heart and the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation with Valor at Camp Leatherneck. Michael is extremely proud of Jacob and no personal biography would be complete with mentioning Jacob’s sacrifice for his country.
